Being catholic involves believing in god. If you don't believe, you can consider yourself catholic all you want, but you're not.

Catholicism falls under theism which is an umbrella term for a belief in god or gods.. you don't get to identify as catholic and ignore the defining characteristic. You're basically arguing you can claim you're gay and not attracted to the same sex or be vegan and consume animal products.

My dad is a gay vegan so I am too even though guys smell and I'm eating a burger as we speak.

I think that's basically what Fluff is arguing for.
