It's not which is the point. It's all millennia old trivia as far as real people are concerned but god damn does the dickwaving contest matter apparently. As much as OH cares about ****ting on Western civilization he does not care about equating Western imperialism to Christianity, but modern Middle Eastern culture must absolutely be equated to Islam.

Well, it's not necessarily wrong to connect a more secular culture less with it's dominant religion than a less secular.

I'd say you'd have to post peer-reviewed sources from psychological studies that made a compelling case that the Quran caused more... whatever than the Bible, otherwise it's just non-scientific mudslinging.

I yawned because I genuinely don't care enough about this boring debate. Not even saying you're necessarily wrong.

Oh well: Zoroastrianism is the root of the worst aspects of monotheism anyway. Islam just ended up being the super dumb youngest child of all the ones that popped out of the desert's womb.

I still stand by what I was saying earlier though about why it's important to make distinctions between Yahweh, Allah, etc. A common argument from Muslims is that they worship the same god as Christians even though it really isn't true. Too many contradictions even if you were doing a blow-by-blow with the Old and New Testaments.

You have better odds overall at converting the Middle East (most likely in the distant future) to some form of Christianity in the long-term rather than getting rid of Islam itself, so why not make a case for delegitimizing it?

Though who knows: maybe atheism could eventually take root if those nations would stabilize.
