I spent time in the middle east and far east. I found the majority of Muslims to be welcoming friendly and peaceful. religion is not the problem people are. that said there are beliefs within Islam that are just evil.

I think when a vast group of people want to chop off the heads of non-believers for not seeing the way they do and all happen to be in one religion, that does say some thing negative towards the religion.

The Catholic Church works with authorities. With the church any priest who is under suspicion is suspended from priestly duties until he is cleared. If he is found guilty, he is removed from the priesthood.

What about Nujood Ali, and what she faced? Her courage wisdom seems goes beyond her years. Despite what she did to bring awareness, and how most of the country want an age limit in place to protect children, the Muslim Brotherhood fought against any restriction on the age of female children being married.

yikes!

if you truly believe that the vast majority of muslims want to chop your head off.... that's quite sad.

This is not true.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexual...cese_of_Boston

Quote:
As it became clear that there was truth to many of the allegations and that there was a pattern of sexual abuse and cover-up in a number of large dioceses across the U.S., what had originally appeared to be a few isolated cases of abuse exploded into a nationwide scandal. The resulting scandal created a crisis for the Catholic Church in the United States, encouraging victims in other nations to come forward with their allegations of abuse, thus creating a global crisis for the Church.
Quote:
Cardinal Bernard Law became the first high-level Catholic Church official to be accused of actively participating in the cover-up of child molestation by predatory priests.

In January 2001 he was named a defendant in several low-profile cases involving pedophile priests, including one involving priest John Geoghan. The editor of the Boston Phoenix weekly, Susan Ryan-Vollmar, assigned reporter Kristen Lombardi to investigate. She wrote an article about the cases under the title "Cardinal sin". Mark Keane, a victim of Geoghan, believed that Law had direct knowledge that Geoghan, who worked in the Archdiocese of Boston from 1962 to 1993, was repeatedly molesting children. Keane said that the archbishop not only allowed the priest to continue working, but repeatedly moved him from parish to parish where he had daily contact with many defenseless children.
Quote:
After resigning as Archbishop of the Boston diocese, Law moved from Boston to Rome. In May 2004, John Paul II appointed Law to a post in Rome, as Archpriest of the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, an honorary position with ceremonial duties.

Wonder how the Hurrian Hymns are faring in Damascus. Considering ISIS doesn't like music or idols I imagine an ancient hymn would be high on their **** list.

That is the strangest thing about ISIS-islam. Music is found in all cultures, and in every civilaztion throughout human history. Yet for some reason they have a vendetta against it.
