You didn't answer my question. What if only 50% of the people asked decide to write them a check? Do they slash SS benefits to the elderly in half overnight?

Again..Im being ****ed. so please don't belittle me on this ****ing issue because you know not what it's like to be denied everything the government offers as assistance, because you owe so much. So there are nights in my life I have starved because I didn't qualify for fs, I got shut down outta college because of the debt. Don't sit there and say they aren't ****ing me.They are. They put an 81,000.00 lien on me for no reason. Dude I literally own nothing because I am branded some kinda tax cheat. My car in someone elses name my house same deal my ****ing cell phone all of that. Not because I am paranoid boo but because my government deemed me worthless and throw away because I had the misfortune of finding my mother dead on the floor when I was 8. Tell me again how they just wanna help. PLease.

My 86 year old mother worked her entire adult life and paid her taxes. She now survives off of her SS and Medicare benefits. You have a problem with that?

No I do not and I should hope the money that I write the govement in check should go to your mother. I am the type of woman that sends 5 bucks to the little old lady in a ****in letter when her sob story hits the ****ing news. Not because 5 bucks is a large sum because it's all I can afford, and I genuinely give a **** about my fellow man. I CAN'T HARDLY FEED MYSELF. WHY ARE THEY TAKING 100 bucks outta my check every two weeks. Man and Im a manager no....this is wrong.

I don't have a problem with people who paid into into it getting exactly what they paid. No more. I definitely have a problem with SS being put in the general fund, and that it has no opt out clause. It would work better if it functioned like a 401K where an individual wouldn't be able to get at that money until retirement anyway. That way it's in the person's name, not the government's coffers. But we didn't have 401Ks when that whole system was set up. SS was never meant to be the sole support in retirement, either. I'm sure your mother has other means than just SS.

Roxxy, if you don't misinterpret what I say every time I say something, I won't tell you that you're not reading my posts correctly.
That particular situation you're in sucks but it was. Not. What. I. Was. Discussing.
