I sorta agree but, I think it's a little deeper, if the website is hosted out of the U.S. and they hold the website out as place where you can express yourself and your thoughts, censoring them is imo un-constitutional. Put a ****in buyer beware on the site. By just doing that you aren't infringing on the rights of others, while keeping your feelings and opinions sacred to you.

The First Amendment clearly begins with, "Congress shall make no law...", which has absolutely nothing to do with any business, since a business is not Congress, and is passing no laws.

I said if it's a a business rooted in the US you should obey the laws or the land, if you don't like them move your domain to another country.

So it officially has nothing to do with the First Amendment, as you have now admitted.

The law of the land you're talking about does not apply to businesses, so therefore they are abiding by the law of the land in this instance.

I'm with Aux-In, Frownland & The Batlord on this one. Not applicable to businesses.

Not if it's bad for their business or image. It's a businesses decision. Personally, I think businesses should stay the hell away from politics, but it's their choice if they want to get involved. Freedom of choice?

EDIT: Social-media sites are a little different, as their specific purpose is to create an environment for the user. So in that, they have to get a feel for their user base. If it's too lopsided, their customers may go elsewhere, or they'll get other media on their back criticizing them and bringing unwanted attention.

I agree but you can't tell someone they can't say something. You can exsplain why you let them go, or booted them from the site as your choice, but to chastise them, ridicule them, censor them, or whatever is impeeding on their right bro.
