I make no apology for the sarcasm as it effectively frames the demonstrable ridiculousness of the claim. And the question is genuine -
Do you honestly believe that all that barbaric misery, those billions and billions of lives, those civilizations, those millions of species, those trillions of galaxies and the vast emptiness of space, and the thousands of world religions before Christ... do you honestly believe that the 98% of everything that happened on Earth in the 98,000 - 250,000 years BEFORE Christ allegedly showed up 2000 years ago... was all god's great plan for us? If so then you need to accept as a corollary to your divine claim that this god you fancy is, by his own actions, very capricious, clumsy, tinkering, fantastically wasteful, very cruel and very callous, indifferent, and certainly undeserving of our adoration. You seem not to grasp the meaning of the word "proof." It simply requires evidence or a logical argument establishing a fact or the truth of your statement. "Personal truth" is irrelevant. If you wish to present your claim as truth, you need to provide evidence. By the very nature of the concept of the "supernatural", its arguments are without the capacity for demonstration or evidence. Such claims cannot be proven. And so, while I cannot demonstrate your postulate to be false, I can only demonstrate how reasonably unlikely it is, as evidenced by each of my previous statements. I've demonstrated that the events you attribute to your god are indicative that, if such a god does exist, he/she is a vile creature certainly undeserving of our worship. If you have evidence to refute my statements, I welcome it, as factual evidence of a supreme being would not only win you a Nobel, but would unite the world in an enlightened state of acceptance and peace. And child rape. Christians are big on that one as well.

Oh, Mordwyr, please don't pretend to be offended by my bbq ribs bit so that you don't have to actually make an argument. That's what people got tired of last time. You seem like a genuinely nice guy, but it's lazy aND intellectually dishonest.

Then you are interested only in begging the question. So I shan't respond to anything else you've asked, because, in your sarcasm, you've answered your own questions. You're not interested in hearing my answers.

You're doing the exact same thing dude. You don't care about what our arguments are, or what we have to say. The jesus glasses are too thick. |

God helps all, even those who don't want His help. Everything is dependent upon Him, even our existences. If he were to withdraw His grace from us, we would be unmade. So, to some extent, His graces extend to all.

What I mean is, God allows us to go through trials. He doesn't always make them. The real test is whether or not we can withstand the trials of the world, and the wiles of the devil. So, God's allowing tests to happen, but he's not usually the tester.
