Uhhh.....I beg to differ...you threw any gays off a buliding today in Cali? Or are you more moderate and think homosexuality should be illegal.

My main issue with Brexit, aside from them leaving a power block that actually made them a player on the world stage, is that these "short term" economic losses will be happening in a time where the global economy has not recovered, no matter how much liberal pundits want to pretend otherwise just to rep Obama. Whether or not this seriously affects the world economy itself, I don't see how the UK taking an economic hit in this climate won't have a cascading effect that will last far longer than Brexit supporters are willing to admit.

As for Britain, they've lost the all-important economic bridge between Europe and the rest of the world and I don't see how they aren't appreciating the glaring detail of losing their role as a major international financial center. Russia also now has a greater tilt over the European world, without Britain having a foothold. Last edited by midnight rain; 06-24-2016 at 02:27 PM. |

What matters is the outcome. You can agree or disagree, but the sins of the voters are essentially irrelevant. People can spend all day chastising a percentage of remain voters as racist, but that does not change the positives and negatives of the decision.

After all, international finance whizzes round the world between 3 major centers; New York, London, Tokyo. Why should that change?

These are very different traits from a desire to have sovereign control of immigration into a country which is small and already crowded.

Obviously a large amount of people voted to leave based on backwards ideals, and these people are a problem. But they are also still human beings that have a right to vote.

Is this all in response to a bigger discussion I'm not seeing where people are saying otherwise?
