Huge win for individualism and sovereignty now. in the long run this plants the irreversible seeds of revolution against the globalist elite. People aren't happy with the way things are headed.

That's cool, the UK has the awesome freedom to still be stuck in the regulations of the EU without all of that pesky funding.

I'd take the government that can be influenced from the inside over one that can do whatever they want without the people's input.

Regarding?

For example, if you mean regarding immigration...don't you think that, in the end, they will end up following the same regulations/rules in order to get a better trade agreement?

Shouldn't a sovereign nation be able to make all its decisions for itself, not defer to a foreign entity that places itself above said nation?

If the country is not part of a global economy, decides to cut all trade ties internationally, and ( if it does not have the resources to go completely cold turkey on the rest of the world) does not decide that it might have to make some allowances in order to get benificial trade deals, I say why not.

Although perhaps the next move is for the UK to declare that its sovereign rights are still being infringed upon by being a part of the Earth's economy and shoot itself up into space via a huge spaceship. Who knows

From this post forward no one is allowed to refer to economic "long term gains" without explaining what those will be. Cause all I'm hearing is vague, wishy-washy bull****, and I'm being generous.

Many people think it's not a matter of "making some allowances". They think it's "making all allowances", i.e., giving up sovereignty.
