William, that was a great post (your last one; don't want to quote it all): I learned more about the situation in the Middle East and Assad's position in it than I ever did watching the news. Very well explained and without a hint of superiority or condescension.

Have you considered starting a political journal? I know I would certainly read it.

Thanks for the compliment. I just put it out there.

Unfortunately my career keeps me to busy to have a political journal (Ie; I wouldn't have time to defend my viewpoints if I got in a debate)

However, I have been thinking about doing a journal that has prominent writers and intellectuals from both the left and right (living and dead), so I'll see how my workload go in the next few weeks.
