It's not our problem but provided we check who we let over why shouldn't we help people? How many refugees have we actually taken anyway? Big Dave said 20k by 2020, that's fuck all. I have to say I'm surprised to see you backing these bombings.

Anyway, I want these ISIS twats ground into the dirt, I hate what they are doing and I hate what they stand for, but I am worried about the potential repercussions for British citizens, from home grown Brits.

Sure, but how are we financing 20000 new refugees? I'd have been all over a government subsidized campaign where people who were vocal about the situation could offer accommodation to a refugee the same way you'd foster a child. But that's not what happened.
And realistically is Syria gonna be steady by 2020? These people are here to stay and they're not only gonna remain popular forever.

Yeah, don't get me wrong this has the potential to exacerbate xenophobia tenfold. But there's as much chance of reasoning with the Britain First cavalry as there is with ISIS

As for me backing the bombings, I'm surprised more aren't. I don't see an alternate solution.

Well I've explained why I'm uneasy about it. Also to clarify I think you may have confused my point, it's not the right wing fat Dave EDL types I'm worried about, it's the impressionable, British moderate Muslims who may be radicalised off the back of this because they feel like the west is against them.

btw it's Benteke/Bellend/Fluffy Kittens/beefy Trevor Sinclair, had a name change.

I knew that, come on man, you'll always be Smegma Covered Bell End to me.

Hmm, yeah I guess. But there's five schools of thought in Islam. It's a pretty diverse set of individuals in terms of religious belief, I'm sure there's many of the faith that back the bombings.
Sure some of the more radical ones might be prone to be influenced by what's going on in Syria but I think if they're acclimatized enough to British life they'll know terrorist activities won't bring anything but a greater deal of racism, cultural tension and harassment for their fellow Muslims.

I think there's bound to be attacks from impressionable young radicals, but I mean they've already happened in France, what's to say they weren't already to be par for the course here too?
But yeah I agree that military action does amplify the likelihood they have of occurring but any foreign policy decision made by the government is gonna face backlash from some group.

You simply can't win a war against an ideology. But you can bomb the **** out of the congregation. Just don't send in more ground forces.
