I may be wrong, but it looks like you're assuming Muhammad is a historical person that actually existed at some point. That could very well be, I don't really know what evidence there is for or against, but it's not something I would assume before reading up on it. The same goes for christianity's Jesus.

I just prefer to pretend I'm on the same page as people when I tell them their beliefs are dericulous.
