3) Jeb Bush: It's not that he did bad, but as the establishment candidate that has all of wall street behind him, he didn't really shine either. He just looked kind of stiff.

Weird, I think the exact opposite. Rand Paul lost that debate big time. Just about everyone here in the US agrees. Ted Cruz was a bore, and Trump was a buffoon.

Agree on Bush but Christie came of really strong (except when he sunk down to Paul's bully boorish behavior and then he brought up 9/11 to defend himself). And Kasich was the clear cut winner of the debate in lots of people's minds. I thought so last night and it's being repeated over and over again today.

Does anyone else find it tasteless the way they try to make the debate seem like a boxing match?

Well I guess that's why they call it a personal perspective.

I haven't seen anything on Paul but the media overall seems to be giving the win to Trump & Rubio (Lord knows why, the guy looks like a little kid)

At the end of the day though our opinions matter not, the polls shall tell us who one the first debate.

How the hell could anyone think Trump won? All he did was make a fool of himself (with the help of the moderators). The mods should have been more fair and balanced with Trump instead of trying to discredit him, then maybe he'd have a fighting chance. I'd say Christie or Rubio won. I thought it was pretty obvious that they weren't taking him seriously and were throwing softballs at the candidates that they liked more.

Christie didn't make any kind of worthwhile impression on me but his 9/11 boohooing probably still resonates with a lot of Americans.

Rubio got kudos because he made a point to talk about the future a lot. People love young, forward thinking (talking) candidates.

i agree with you on rand though... he's just a less likable, less principled version of his dad. he looks like he belongs in a barber shop quartet rather than running for prez imo.

where as cruz is just straight up to-catch-a-predator material

i like christie too.. he has a sort of east coast tony soprano "**** you" swagger... too bad trump already has that angle down pat

Actually, if I was gonna be afraid of either one having me thrown into a wood chipper, it would definitely be Christie. He just looks like a capo.
