Frownland 08-06-2015 10:51 PM

Trump wasn't as good as I thought he'd be. The moderators sucked.

John Wilkes Booth 08-06-2015 11:06 PM

they didn't give him much airtime... realistically the debate should've been trump vs everyone else, instead of giving them all individual treatment

Nah, they should have him moderate. In fact, **** that. He shouldn't even run. All the candidates should be forced to compete in arbitrary tasks on a reality show, and every week Trump will kick another off, until the end, when he tells the President-elect, "You're hired."

Its only because hes coasting on celebrity.(Trump btw).

Was watching some of the post primary coverage and at one point they had someone interviewing a room full of single mom republican voters about their thoughts on how the candidates did. One woman said she'd already made up her mind and was voting for Jeb Bush (who did terrible IMO).

When asked why one of her reasons was; "He's got two of the best ex-presidents ever on speed dial".

I nearly wet myself.

Trump came off badly. He was just making up a lot of **** as he went along and didn't seem focused at all, except on himself and how high a regard he holds himself in. His boorish comeback to Megyn Kelly (who asked a very legitimate question) is going to come back to bite him in the ass.

Bet Fox news replays that exchange about a thousand times today.

How about the most awkward television intro in history fellas? I thought I'd do most of the cringing after the candidates started spouting, but I was wrong.

I watched the Republican primary's last night though I should have been watching the Canadian election debate ...but so boring.

Trump on the other hand brought in the highest ratings for any Presidential Primary ever!!!

http://money.cnn.com/2015/08/07/medi...-news-ratings/

From an impartial perspective I thought the winners were:

1) Rand Paul: Got the knock out punch of the night on Chris Christie with his Obama comment, and did well by articulating himself as a "different kind of Republican"

2) Ted Cruz: Man this guys got an F'n weird looking face and squeaky voice to boot, but he sure was well spoken and articulate. Cudos for him on overcoming this deficit.

3) Donald Trump: The Trump show did not disappoint and brought with it a few chuckles along the way. As the maverick outsider, he did more than survive the debate.

Losers:

1) Chris Christie: His attempt to look aggressive by going after other candidates like Paul & Huckabee backfired on him.

2) John Kasich: The governor of Ohio did well but seemed nervous and stumbled with his words at times.

3) Jeb Bush: It's not that he did bad, but as the establishment candidate that has all of wall street behind him, he didn't really shine either. He just looked kind of stiff.

The losers are anyone who supports the GOP. They are all intensely inarticulate fools but right at the get go where Trump says if he doesn't win the primary he's going rogue the only important words spoken were spoken. Translated Hillary Clinton is going to be our next president. Donald, from the bottom of my heart let me thank you for your buffoonery. You'll either end up as an unelectable nominee or some rich **** who splits the GOP. Thank God!!!
