By todays standards FDR would be considered a hard leftist at least economically, Marxism would be considered the far left, as in way out there, though I'm sure you could find some philosophical strains of Marxism in Sanders beliefs if you look hard enough. He is after all a self declared socialist. Hard left refers to the economic policies of left wing parties prior to the Thatcher/Reagan era before the third way polices of Blair, Clinton and Schroeder took over, which is generally considered the center left. It does not refer to the far left policies of the Soviet Union and the Politburo. I already said I like Sander so stop getting so riled up. |

^ He's only extreme left relative to the US, he'd be standard issue left in most of Europe.

Unfortunately, the early returns look terrible for Bernie, although in states (FL and NC) that Clinton would have been heavily favored.

Clean sweep for Clinton last night...not even I was expecting that.
Unless a magical indictment comes down on Hillary soon, it is all but over for the Bern. Hillary has pretty much sealed the nomination, and with the Republican party in the midst of a civil war, she has a clear path to the Whitehouse! |
