No one said the Inquisition didn't happen but I'm saying it wasn't a death camp. Neither were a lot of terrible things. The Vietnam War wasn't a death camp. The Hiroshima bombing wasn't a death camp. Read through the thread. The point Roxy made was death camps have not historically been a religious institution. In fact, she said, correctly, that closer to the truth is people were sent to death camps for BEING religious. I challenge anyone to contradict this opinion. Don't just point out wrong doings done in the name of religion or organized by a religion. I'm talking about death camps. Historically they've been used by primarily by non-religious governments very often as a mode of oppression against religious people. Batlord saying Maoism was a religion based on the worship of Mao is one of the many stretches I've heard.
