There used to be such a thing as Liberal Republicans. One of the most famous was Tom McCall of Oregon, others were Frank Church & Lowell Weicker. Then came Reagan, IMO the worst thing that ever happened, and that's the Republican party ever since.

Let me tell you aint no liberals old school ones left. The ones that allow you to have your beliefs because they are truly tolerant of what it is your into. Now we have a special kinda liberal that doesn't tolerate what they dont adhere to themselves....instead its a culture of "intellectual" shaming and bullying, because "I'm right you're wrong." same problem different decade...

^That's called regressivism and only represents a small faction of liberal minded people.
Google, not in this day and age. Before the civil war, Republicans were the more liberal party and they slowly traded places with the Dems after the war. So ja, if you go back several years there were liberal Republican politicians, but those don't exist in America today.

I think you're not using the same logic for liberals and republicans. When you discussed liberals you included the public, but not when it comes to republicans. Of course there are liberal republicans. Probably most of them believe in classical liberal values.
Edit: And then you go and spoil it with a ninja. Bugger.
