I understand being entertained by politics, but by engaging in politics the way you do you still end up maintaining the status quo.
Again, major BS. Believe it or not, I've voted across the aisle through the years.

Did ya really think I voted for Michael Dukakis in 1988?

Plenty of people start out mavericks, then "the real world" kicks in, and they start toeing the societal line. My grandfather used to vote democrat back in the day, and now he's a talk radio/Fox News victim who hates all liberals and moderate republicans.

Age can definitely corral some people. Both young and naive as well as old and thick headed.

If a GOP candidate came out today who fit my bill I'd vote for them in a heartbeat. I don't give a crap about the color of your flag.

I agree, I was a big Obama supporter in part because I thought he was going to bring about change, but the machine just kind of ate him up.

In fairness to Bernie, his senate voting record is much further to the left, but I think if he got in the banks and Republican senate would just cripple his Presidency.

In many ways this is why I'm pro Hillary, she is the ultimate political machine. The Clinton's learned how to master the Rockefeller Republicans inside power games to the point that she could eat Jeb Bush for lunch.

If you identify yourself as a Democrat and want things to get done, she will get them done, whip in hand! Oooooooh that visual made me kinda of excited.

Meh. I always knew he was just another political shyster. The second I started hearing slogans like "Change" and "Yes we can", it was obvious he was just as full of **** as all the rest of them. He just happened to have better slogans than the other guy, and be black, so all the young folk could feel like they were changing the world.

Honestly, the only reason I voted for him was because McCain scared the **** out of me with all his "Today we're all Georgians" garbage. I might not think there's as much of a difference as people like to think when it comes to democrat and republican warmongering, but I was terrified that McCain was going to put combat troops within shouting distance of Russian soldiers. **** that.

Oh, and since I don't respect the American political system, I figured I might as well help vote in the first black president while I was at it.

Sounds like lesser of two evils to me.

There's a difference between your average, every day lesser of two evils and possibly averting WW3. I certainly don't give as much of a **** this time around.

Stop moving the goalposts.

You give me **** about lesser of two evils but yet you adhere to the same ideology.

Know when to step away.
