Obviously one president isn't going to change the country but when America consistently gets someone good for the majority into the Whitehouse than overtime things will change. Even if Bernie got 1-2 things passed to weaken the upper class stronghold that's a start I'd be happy with. I agree your generation and mine won't see it but this is about making the future a better place.

Any vote that doesn't attempt to change a broken system is a wasted vote.

The world is run by politicians elected by people "in the real world", and the evidence suggests that such people are incapable of doing anything worthwhile with their votes.

Your claiming that you're simply voting for "the lesser of two evils" is undermined by your determination to make her look good, and demonize the opposition. You're not helping. You're contributing to the perpetuation of the current system just as much as the mindless drones who watch Fox News. There is functionally no difference between you because you vote the same way, regardless of the reasons.

BS. Show me where I've tried to make Clinton "look good". I've already laid out the ideologies behind where my vote goes. They just happen to align with Clinton. I'd vote for Bernie if I truly believed he stood a chance but I don't so I'm not gonna throw my vote away on the guy.

The "Wonder Bread White" mindless drones who watch Fox vote based on the bible and a rifle. That's not me by a long shot so stop trying to equate me with them.

- protect women's rights to their bodies
- keep Jesus and God outside of the law
- protect the environment
- keep Wall Street and the banks in check
- leave SS alone
- reasonable immigration reform
- you make bigger bucks, you pay bigger taxes

Based on the above, who should I vote for?

You constantly demonize the opposition, with things like "HAHAHAHAHAHA" and then links to articles that make Republicans look bad, which by extension makes your candidate look good.

It doesn't matter why you vote the way you do, since the end result is the same: you both end up voting down party lines. Do you think politicians care why you vote for them? If they can act in ways that you don't support and still get your vote, your opinion becomes irrelevant.

Honestly, you might as well just quit thinking and remaining informed about politics, cause if you're just going to vote the same either way, it makes sense to spend your time doing concentrating on something where your attentions might actually affect your life.

Well, I consider Trump a clown. Which he is. Pretty lame comeback dude.

Syntax is a bitch.

What happen with SS greatly affects my life. Plus I have an adult daughter so woman's rights is pretty important too.

Funny thing is I'd probably be better off if I voted GOP. My paycheck might actually bloat a bit. But screw that.

Reread what I wrote. Regardless of how those things affect your life, your remaining informed about them probably isn't going to affect how you vote, so why spend the time and effort?

I understand being entertained by politics, but by engaging in politics the way you do you still end up maintaining the status quo.

Assuming this was your point.

I think the bigger problem is with Congress. 100 senators and 435 representatives are voted on state by state. But ultimately they wield the power over the entire country. Remember this:

The New New Deal: Why the GOP Became the Party of No | TIME.com

The people running in state elections can cater to their homegrown base in order to get in. And then they wreak havoc once they get to Washington.

Ted Cruz anyone????
