Some sports are heavily subsidized by government (particularly football in the US). Olympics usually leaves it's host city worse off economically.

i seem to meet plenty of women who feel the same way trump does about immigrants here in the south lol. his opinions are hardly even controversial in large percentages of the country. the reason it's causing such a stir is chosing such an angle is pretty risky... most politicians like to play it safe

trump is playing high stakes and high risk

so it could work or it could go bust

this is exactly why the democrats should eject "safe" (read: boring) choice hillary clinton and nominate bernie sanders instead

He has more of a spine than Hillary, but I'm against him simply because of all the edgy teens that support him because he promises free college.

It's not original, but so many people in my age group are metaphorically ****ing themselves over this guy because he says that all tuition will be free.

He's not a bad guy, but he's praying on the vulnerability of college students who hear "free college" and jump to his defense, regardless of who's going to be paying for all of this.

I was talking about his supporters being edgy, not Sanders himself. Wanting free **** is a very basic human instinct so it's not all that unique.
