I don't know about beforehand, but I think that campaigning like he has been, with so many stops with crowds of thousands being all about him and not about anybody else, might have warped his perception that nobody else but the people at his rallies thinks like they do. He might have had an actual break with reality, even if isn't actually psychological.

I think your right, all the adoration he gets from his supporters much be a wet dream for a narcissist like Trump, he's in his own little world up there.

His rallies really risk turning into a clown show at this point. When I watch him speak to his supporters, it's like he's talking to people with an IQ below 80. It's insulting to listen to, but he's probably thinking "they love me, they love me."

Guys like Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani must be clamoring for an exit strategy.
