No that is not what I meant. I meant that as a novice politician. He should have pushed through his ideas right out of the gate while the Dems were in control of the house and Senate but nooo he spent time working across the isle trying to be a moderate and was slapped in the face for it.

I think that is all you saw were public statements here and there and you weren't paying attention to what was really going on. I also think you are mis remembering. He said that after being re-elected but not during his first term.

No that is not what I saw. I saw him making public statements almost as soon as he came to office saying the exact same things about the Republicans that he had while campaigning. He ran his presidency like he was already running for the next election.
