I don't think "implement" is the right word. That implies some sort of state decree, or Congress passing a couple of bills, which is not how socialism works. I don't think socialism is on the way anytime soon, and I certainly don't think this election will bring the US much further towards it. That wasn't my point.

The part about collective ownership was to prevent a possible comment on how socialism equals state control.
