Trump's presidency is like global warming: you can deny it all you want but it's still going to happen regardless of what you think.

The election of November 2016 will see the non-Drumpf candidate will win New York/New England and the Left Coast, Drumpt will win the mid-west and south. The election will come down to the purple states in Ohio, Florida, Virginia, and Pennsylvania

BTW, you'd be voting Drumpf to troll America, not because he'd make a good POTUS, and the fact that he might win in November on that basis across America is terrifying. C'mon, people, I really can't afford to emigrate (although I to love Vancouver, BC).

The country is already in a slow, unstoppable decline, so speeding up the process is a small price to pay for the lulz. You get the leader you deserve, and if America is really willing to elect Donald ****ing Drumpf, then karma will prevail and all will be right with the universe.

I know you're big on Bernie Paul, and I can somewhat understand his appeal as a 'progressive' anti-establishment kind of guy, but I don't see how Hillary would be a better option if it were to come down to her and Trump (and I am guessing it will based on what I read).
Trump may not agree with you or I on everything, but I think he's the kind of guy that will at least want to protect your freedoms. And whilst you may see him as a joke figure, I think we all know that when it comes down to it, he isn't just going to make decisions out of thin air. I watched his speech a few days ago (the one in front of an alleged "30,000 people") and the guy seemed reasonable. Obviously he has a certain charisma and brashness that screams "WTF, how on Earth is this guy actually running for president?", but what he was actually saying didn't alarm me. There's a lot of fear mongering and pseudo-journalism in the world today, and the problem is that it's often hard to sieve through it all and come to a conclusion because you don't know what to believe. I'm certainly not sold on Trump as a candidate, but I know that - at this moment in time - he's the one I would vote for if I were an American.

I don't have time right now to discuss all the points I wish to cover, but I will quickly address this. In this country, this means GUNS and GUNS and GUNS and more and more GUNS. There is absolutely NO UK equivalent to the gun lobby in the US. Actually this is one of the issues I think Hilary is very strong, or at least talks a good game on the issue. Drumpf will be a shill for the gun lobby. I'll talk more about this later. |

As a brash asshole myself, I think that it would be a ****ing riot to hang out with Trump, but I don't think that makes him electable. What really strikes me (apart from the scapegoating) is his inconsistency on basically everything despite the fact that he demonizes other politicians for the same exact thing. It's quite obvious to me that he's pandering the Republican base of the US, which has grown into a parody of what the party represented thirty years ago.

Indont even think Trump is republican (or Conservative, whatever) he's just on that side because of the system in place.
I'm also pro guns so I don't really have an issue with that.
