First off, I'm sure you're aware of this but I feel compelled to point out that the vast majority of Oregonians are maybe the most progressive left-wing liberals in the state and the US. I PROUDLY include myself among these leftists. There's a tiny, tiny faction of these Posse Comitatus mother****ers, largely in the extremely sparsely populated eastern portion of this region.

I live thirty miles southwest of Portland in Yamhill County, and there's a surprising amount of right wing country folks out here. Once you get out of the main towns, it's like a different culture. Most of them are gun folks, which I have nothing against, but it's still a shock to see so many in this area.
