It prevents the government from overzealously passing legislation.

There are other checks and balance in place but it is more than just letting legislation go through. I'm talking basic operations stuff like approving a budget and then trying to turn it around and blame Obama when the government gets shut down for not voting the way they want.

True, not everything is worth obstructing, but it beats the incessant passing of bills to remain relevant.

I followed more than the debates. If you watched the debates you would have heard her stances on different policies. That's what she excels at.
