What about when celebrities like Whedon (a Hollywood director and writer) tweet how we cannot allow Trump to take office or Schrader (a Hollywood screenwriter) posting on his FB that we need to rise up in violence against Trump? Will these high-profile voices have any effect?

They will calm down eventually. Refer back to Occupy Wall Street. These are some of the same people that were out protesting during that time.

No those high profile voices won't have any effect.
