Liberals Scared to Death by Their Own Caricature of Trumpettes - The Great Recession Blog

Quote:
Liberals have for months been retelling each other every day that Trump supporters are all bigots, homophobes, xenophobes and misogynists. They painted Trump supporters with a broad crimson-stained brush as being entirely motivated by hatred. On one level, I’m sure they created this image of the Trumpettes in order to win the election — by making them look like the KKK fan club, which no decent person would want to belong to.

There is, however, a deadly downside to this kind of demonization: you cannot do it unless you also convince yourself that the stereotype you are creating is true — otherwise you’d live in the knowledge that you are a liar. Nobody wants to live in the knowledge that he or she is a liar, and it is simple to convince yourself that the stereotype you are believing is true because that is who you want to simplify the other side anyway.

Trump considering Oklahoma Oil Billionaire Harold Hamm for the position of Energy Secretary. Hamm is a major proponent of fracking and, along with Trump, is opposed to Obama's Clean Power Plan. He also believes, along with most other oil execs and our new president, that Global Warming is a hoax.

The hits just keep coming......

Next up: Secretary of Health and Human Services believes that thermometers always give false readings.

You mean Secretary of Health Susan Cameron?

Isn't Ben Carson rumored to get that position?

And the guy that he wants to put in charge of the EPA is a big climate change denier.

Hey Qwertyy, did you see the fights Saturday night? I don't usually do the PPV thing but this fight card was well worth it and it delivered in spades. Love your new Avi.

Yup, thought it was great. I thought the women's title match was among the better fights the women have had this year, and the main event was everything I hoped it would be.

There's an event scheduled for my city in Feburary of '17, really hoping I can grab a ticket before the scalper prices get too crazy but it's only the third or fourth time they've been here and it always sells it out within the first few minutes.

Could you believe that Wonderboy survived the 4th and actually ended up on top? Dude has always impressed with with his skills but I'd never realized how much guts and grit the kid has.

Conor absolutely destroyed Alverez. And ya, the women's match was amazing and a lot closer than the announcers made it out to be. Caroline is one tough chick.

Was bummed to see Tate retire but it was the right decision. Loved how she pointed to Pennington after the fight and said "that's the future of women's MMA". Class act.
