C-Sections are done for a number of reasons. Quite a large percent are done simply cause the doctor feels it's the best option for both the mother and baby. A lot of twins and triplets are born via C-section. In some cases a woman will not dilate enough. If a woman has hypertension they will do it so she doesn't have to go through the intense stress of normal delivery.
