I also saw two undecided focus groups who were questioned and polled after the debate. Each group was about 50 people from the battleground state of Ohio.
When asked if they thought Clinton won maybe 20-25 raised their hands. When asked if Trump won only a single person said yes from each group. The rest remained undecided and will make up their minds after the third debate. In the last 13 elections no-one has won election without also winning Ohio. So ya, I'd say Clinton won.

Mrs Clinton when you were under investigation for deleting State Department emails on your on your home server account, which held highly sensitive state documents, did you really tell FBI agents that you didn't know that the C meant a file was classified? Mrs Clinton, Americans are concerned about getting further involved in the conflict in Syria. You have received more money from America's arms manufactures than any other candidate? The Clinton foundation has accepted up $20 million from Saudi Arabia, and millions more from other Sunni states. Why was this given, and how can we be assured you will not drag the United States further into Syria, with so many open hawks on your security adviser team? Mrs Clinton in two years you pulled in more than $20 million dollars in paid speeches from major banks and hedge fund organizations like Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley and, refused to have the transcripts made public. No other candidate from Jeb Bush to Marco Rubio was paid that much? How can you assure the working American your not bought and paid for? Mrs. Clinton shortly after the controversy with Trump broke about groping women, wikileaks provided a document of a paid speech you gave to a Brazillian bank stating that your..“dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders” Mrs. Clinton do you really believe that the American worker should be put in more direct competition with people around the world through free trade and open borders? Mrs Clinton, last Spring the head of the DNC Susan Wasserman had to step down from her position after wikileaks documents showed several attempts to undermine the Sanders campaign to ensure your victory. What was your role in this? Hmmm, those are some of the questions I'd ask, and that's just a start. I haven't even touched on her dealings with the shady business people that she allowed to fleece Haiti. A supposed left wing candidate who receives more donations from big banks & corporations than Jeb Bush = problem. |

Even Sheldon Adelson, who donated about $40 million to Romney in 2012, is snubbing Trump. But ya, blame it on Clinton. And Trump finally admitted last night that he used loopholes to avoid paying any taxes and that makes him brilliant. Clinton takes donations from large corporations and that makes her crooked?

I just think she's a corporate stooge, a fake leftist, and an extremely unpopular candidate that will be out in 4 years. Better to let Trump win and have him face Elizabeth Warren in 2020, than have Clinton face off with someone like Rubio. |

Declaring who "won" this debate only shows whose talking points you agree with more.
They both presented themselves at this debate. They also both showed us their glaring flaws as if it were a scripted reality show. Neither of them did a very good job on refuting the other on anything tbh. I'm hungover because I took a drink every time they made me feel depressed.

Here are my thoughts on the debate last night, and I'll try to be as thorough as I can.
Both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton showed some strengths and weaknesses, whether I'd like to admit it or not. What this debate really showed me and hopefully showed everyone else is that we're basically ****ed either way. Trump brought up great points about Hillary and vice versa, however if Trump were actually able to get his point across or answer the questions he was given, maybe more people would have taken him seriously. Hillary did avoid some questions as well only for her to attack Trump if he were elected, which is still a weakness in itself. As far as facts go, NBC news broke it down to 24 separate fact checks that you can take or leave, but I'll just leave them here: Quote:
The debate was nasty in most counts, but the moderators were far better this time around than they were in the previous one. Though, I still question why people support Trump after his scandal years ago. You'll defend Trump because it was done years ago, but he has to own up to it if he wants to have any chance to be known as taking responsibility for his actions, which he has yet to do. He hasn't apologized for it, and if you consider that silly card reading video a legitimate apology, well that's your own fault for believing that he means what he says. The debates are clearly any persons game now, but Hillary came out on top, easily. She was much more respectable, to both Trump and the moderators, while Trump felt he needed to argue and act like a blubbering baby because he didn't get what he wanted. Someone on my Facebook painted a picture that really sums it all up: "Ever known that kid in school who would admit to doing wrong, but point to someone who was supposedly doing worse things, like it makes their actions less sophomoric? Well, he's on TV with Hillary atm." |
