*ACTUALLY they didn't take the video down... i remember now. he makes money off of his youtube videos and they made it so he would not be paid at all for that video. because they didn't like the content. something like that... either way its ****ed up.

That sounds familiar. I'm going to assume it was a DNC takedown, whereby someone makes a copyright claim and that person's video is taken down, regardless of whether or not the claim is valid. The person can appeal the claim, but in the meantime the person/corporation/whatever gets all the money from the video's ad revenue.
That's just Youtube, and it works like that across the board. I wouldn't at all be surprised if political candidates could find ways to say that someone who used a clip from one of their speeches in a video was violating some kind of copyright, but it's not a political conspiracy. Youtube just sucks.
