It's not hypocritical to focus more of your attention on the bigger problem - which I would argue is Islam. You can disagree on that if you want, but not everything is of equal good or bad. And the way to deal with it is not to add more bigotry (ban all muslims/baiting the population for votes), but to accept the issues we are facing and try to deal with them rationally.

What do you know of Islam the religion? Have you ever read a Quran?

Those are things I feel should be asked rather then blanket Islam as a whole. Because it appears that people in different parts of the Muslim world are not all the same and some fractions are more hard core and radical then others.Im just wonder which facet of Islam you wanna talk about?

I'm talking in general because it is a religion and the way Goofle's posts are coming across. He doesn't like Islam itself in general. Almost like saying a person doesn't like Christianity and I am just trying to get to the root of his issue with all Muslims regardless of how radical they are.

Also if you look at polls consisting of Muslims who are in western countries, you would be surprised to find just how many them support views that aren't liberal and tolerant.

Why must they support liberal views and be tolerant?

.

Majority of americans do choose to join the military for money.

When I was in boot camp, they went around asking everyone why everyone joined.

These are the top reasons: no choice, college money, runs in the family, very few said for patriotic reasons, some said so they can travel different places. A few people it was really their last resort. Either go military or end up in jail.

1. Not read the Quran, but have seen enough to know that it - and the Hadith's - are far from the kind of books people should be living their lives by.

2. You know I don't have an issue with all Muslims so please don't talk as if I have ever said that, it doesn't come across well.

3. People don't have to support any views, but not being tolerant and classically liberal (free speech, equality etc) isn't going to mix well in Western countries.

one quarter of enlisted recruits come from the wealthiest fifth of american neighborhoods.

less than 11 percent come from the poorest.
