Don't assume it's so blind. Skepticism of my own ideas is something I practice all the time to avoid just that.

No brother I am not surprised. I am merely pointing out that you, Frownland who is King LIBERAL on California Campus Island are not as accepting of other peoples ideas that don't go along with your own, and that is what you are bitching at other for doing. That's it. Instead of saying "Hey Rox, that theory might be a little tooo out there even for you, and here's why." And giving me facts to back it up you come at me with the over puffed up sense of intellectual superiority and mock me. Thus proving you really aren't what you think you are which is loving liberal and tolerant of everyone. So you are being just as bad as the trump and cruz fans you don't like.

Here's my take as someone on the outside looking in: America is insane, and that insanity is infecting more and more people every day. Americans are obsessed with all things political, and the right/left divide is controlling the narrative. It's turning a lot of otherwise thoughtful people into zombies.

I'm not saying my take is accurate--just the way I see things as an American expat. Once you step out of your home country for a few years and then return for a visit, you get a clear idea of how insane things have become. But when you're in the pot, you don't feel it slowly coming to a boil.

I agree, it's so divisive that people can run a platform not on their own policies, but by banking on the fact that they're not that other guy.
