Him finally using teleprompters and letting speechwriters take over is definitely helping his case right now. But I can't wait for Hillary to tear him apart in their live debates. Watching him get all red in the face while a woman makes him look dense is going to be a blast.

That's his entire strategy, I think. He says contradictory nonsensical things and isn't held accountable because most people don't keep up with politics enough to realize that he just says whatever he thinks people want to hear that day. The man has a great understanding of the American people.
