To a degree you are, yes you have to be able to separate yourself from the job you do yeah?

OK so getting my confession, or statement are part of the job you do, you wouldn't be doing your job if you weren't trying to hustle me. You personally might feel some sorta empathy for me or my situation, yeah but ain't gone stop you from hustlin me to get your job done. You don't bite the hand that signs your checks.
