Yeah, stupid Red Scare. But I'm optimistic. His down-to-earth attitude and ability to speak will get him lots of support during the debates, and then maybe he'll have a shot in the primary. Maybe.

I mean if Bush hadn't stolen the election Gore would've won notwithstanding Nader. But this is another reason to support ditching FPTP - spoilers really ought not to be a thing.

I don't think most Democrats and/or leftists think he has a chance; I certainly don't. I think Isbjork is an outlier. (Also he's not a socialist. Just gonna throw that out there.)

Lol "ability to speak". We're never electing somebody that Jewish.

He calls himself as a democratic socialist, /r/socialism calls him a social democrat instead of a socialist, but I don't really care. The issues are what matters.

yea, he's a pretty good promise maker. it'd be interesting to see those policies actually go into effect.

If he becomes president and his promises don't come into effect, it certainly won't be his fault. His voting record looks great. The problem is that the president can do jack **** without support from Congress. I'd rather see little get done than nothing at all, though.
