Stupid question, I guess, but have the debates started? And where can I watch them? I've never really paid attention to them before, since I'm a politics rookie at best.

You know, I really should start paying attention to Norwegian politics. Actually, there's probably no real point.

Same with American politics.

They have not started yet. The first Republican debate is scheduled for August, and there are supposed to be nine but there might be more. Democratic ones haven't been scheduled yet but I imagine they'll start around the same time.

Bernie Saunders has thrown in his hat so at least now the Democratic primaries will be a race, He and Elizabeth Warren on the left with Hillary nailing down the center left.

That being said I think the United States is headed for Clinton vs Bush round 2.

Warren's not running and Sanders neither has nor thinks he has a chance at winning. He's just there to try to push Hillary to the left - that is, get her on camera pledging to do things that the more liberal wing of the party would like. Clinton is almost certainly the nominee, but Sanders, Martin O'Malley, and potentially Jim Webb are also running. As for the Republicans, I don't think Bush is going to be nominated, but I think Clinton will probably win the general anyway so I don't know that it matters.

No Canadian. If I was British I would be dancing in glee that Unknown Soldier put Iron Maiden 1 and Van Halen somewhere around spot 16

I generally follow politics in other countries that can have an impact on Canada and world affairs.

Your right, thanks for the correction. There has been so much hype around Elizabeth Warren that I assumed that she had put her hat in the race.

I guess that makes it less of a race. Saunders of course won't win, but at least now there is someone notable on the ticket, I like O Malley, but I don't think the American public knows who he is.

I can't imagine who would beat Jeb Bush in the primaries, both Scott Walker and Chris Christie are unlikable dicks, Marco Rubio doesn't have the stature of Bush, and the Libertarian wing of the party isn't large enough to propel Rand Paul to the nomination. Likewise, same with the social conservative base for Mike Huckabee. So???

Hmm I should edit my post above, I just don't have time to follow politics like I use to.

A lot of the polls show that Scott Walker is unpopular with the American public, but he's leading the Republican polls in Iowa as the Republican frontrunner.

Good, all the easier for Hillary.
