We really need to get rid of this winner-take-all election system. It leaves minorities underrepresented, and makes third parties almost irrelevant.

Bernie has 0 chance of winning. And really Nader had no chance either. I think for most people it was a pointless "protest vote" that they ended up regretting. Trying to get a 3rd party at least started but with the money involved that will never happen.

What do you mean? There have been fifteen Democratic presidents versus eighteen Republican ones. I don't see that as a tremendous difference. And Bernie supporters in general seem to be more hopeful than convinced, which is reasonable. Gerrymanderers, Congress, corporate media etc. will make it as hard for Bernie as they can, sure, but that's not a reason to stop supporting him.

I have a question for you. Forget about the odds for a minute, do you agree with Sanders on the issues?

Bottom line is Bernie can't compete with the money train that is Hillary. Just won't happen.

Nice. Yes, his victory against Hillary in the primary is a long shot, but voting for him in the primary can't hurt.

Bernie is quickly gaining support, and I'm sure that there are many Americans out there who'd vote for him in a heartbeat if they knew where he stood on the issues. And I'm sure that when the debates start, Bernie will wreck everyone. They gon' feel the Bern, man.

Yeah, I really look forward to his debates. I just think he is too out there for most people. It's sad but his crazy hair and demeanor and things turn too many people off. And he will get tagged with the "socialist" label which will scare everybody off as well.

Yeah, stupid Red Scare. But I'm optimistic. His down-to-earth attitude and ability to speak will get him lots of support during the debates, and then maybe he'll have a shot in the primary. Maybe.
