Hmm... organic and mechanical... if only we could use the best of both worlds... maybe we could create some sort of robotic police officer. A "robo cop", if you will. There's no possible way that could go wrong...

I find it pretty gross that race has even been brought into this instead of simply dealing with police using excessive force in general. I mean it's not exclusively a problem for any one race and any solution is going to be for white black brown yellow red orange pink blue purple and mentally ill people anyways. All you can really do is condemn things loudly with numbers creating pressure to investigate and prosecute if the evidence is there sending the message that it is not acceptable behavior.
I'm unsure how you can make that claim. ALL of the cases we've heard about in the news in the last few months have been assaults on/deaths of EXCLUSIVELY BLACK MALES. So how can you say the bolded part with a straight face? You can't ignore the facts: there has not been one single instance reported of this happening to a white person. Surely that makes it exclusive to one race/colour???

right so my experience with the cops has been honestly straight up lovely. i mean considering all the **** i did. it's like they look at me, they see a trustworthy/good person on their way to do good ****, and they just let **** slide.

i'm speaking from the pov of a normal white person who happened to live in impoverished and non-white neighborhoods. i'm not saying this same shtick will work everywhere and in every context. but yea.

also, being 'white' isn't all that matters. it's part of it, yea. but basically cops size people up in an instant. so lets say you're a white kid with clothes that fit and no tattoos/attitude.... just be respectful and do whatever they ask you to do without any sort of struggle or snide remarks and they'll be easy on you.

it's like cops look at certain individuals and they anticipate antagonism before it even comes. so being black will be a statistical disadvantage. so will looking like a hippy twat.. cops expect you to have an anti authoritarian attitude right off the bat and then when you confirm their assumptions it only makes them all the more comfortable in antagonizing you.
