Yeah sure. Aside from being wildly authoritarian I'd say the main sin of Marxist-Leninism is that they're jumping the gun and being impatient. Even Marx describes capitalism and industrialization as necessary.
Nobody knows how capitalism will develop even if we have theories so a violent shock to the system like Lenin or Mao were inevitable given the misery caused by capitalism but thinking they had any hope of changing the world is almost like leaning on the Great Man Theory of history. Maybe in other circumstances they could have destabilized the wider global society and led to something other than they did, but it's not surprising that they didn't.
