does it bother you that I don't want anything to do with whatever "noble" cause that you use to give meaning to your existence?

I think it's humorous that you seem to think it's all about you -
that other people are actually trying to convince you of something
or are somehow bothered by you ... or that people do things in
order to irritate you.

If it's going to affect my life, then yes. It is all about me, because I didn't consent to having people **** up my plans for my life... which are modest.

I'd prefer to be left out of it, but if that's not possible, then I'm more than willing to retaliate for being dragged in.

But the thing is, I don't want to have to do that but in that hypothetical circumstance, I won't be left with any other option.
