Exactly, I'm not banking on the supernatural God to make things right.

F*ck him. And not just because of my little life b-sh*t. Watch the evening news and then think about praising an all loving God.

We're on our own.

We're on our own.
But the point is that you're using the same word to describe two different concepts. The kind of faith you have is faithish, but it's based on experience and confidence in your own abilities. Your "faith" is more of an educated guess, because past experiences have shown that you can in fact get through tough situations by your own competence.

The kind of faith described by religion is blind and completely irrational. Those who have blind faith may believe that their faith has yielded results (e.g. they go to church and pray and give to the collection plate and so naturally they have a house and two-and-a-half kids), but the connection they're making between cause and effect has no basis in objective fact or observation. It's merely a delusion.

I don't know how every religion teaches. I can't speak for every religion or vouch for every person who claims to be religious is sincere. But basically religious people have faith they if they do good, it would make the world a better place. And this is an irrational and delusional belief?

Morality has nothing to do with religion and what you described is a thing every decent human being lives or at least attempts to live.
The kind of faith specific to religion is the faith in a supreme being and that belief is pretty irrational and delusional.

That's hardly a religious belief, merely a belief that most religions happen to have. If a religion tells their practitioners that the sky is blue, and they believe it, does this somehow justify the blind aspects of their faith?
