Virtually all the stories in the bible are the same story told over and over again in different ways and put falsely into a chronological sequence. The story of Noah is the exact same story as the Tower of Babel which is the exact same story as the legend of Atlantis which is the exact story as Icarus and his wings which is the exact same story as Phaethon.
All center around humanity's attempt to reach godhood which then results in a catastrophe and a scattering. It isn't necessary to disprove the story of Noah. The Flood myths are found all over the earth in every culture. It's an ancient story told and retold and handed down since before modern humanity existed--no differently than our star maps (ask yourself who invented the first constellations). In fact, it is ALL star lore from an ancient time--from an epoch when myth and history dissolve into one. The bible is a book of star lore and its stories are found in the stars. They never happened on earth. |

And did modern man advance any further away from stories? No, but instead of folk lore pass down by word of mouth form one person to another, the modern person immerses himself/herself alone in a story, whether it's a book or video game or a movie. You can also say that with World of Warcraft and Mortal Combat where players are reenacting stories that can be traced back to J. R. R. Tolkien and further back to Northern European folklore or war stories that are retold over and over back to Homer. That is poetic and kinda makes one want to read the Bible.

- There's no evidence. This is pretty simple, but to me a big ****ing deal.
- Regarding the Christian God, there is evidence to the contrary. At the very least, young earthers are bat**** insane. - I've never really seen religion used for anything except control. - I hate logical fallacies and all the other bull**** that usually goes into theological debates - In this case, the burden of proof isn't on me. |

That's actually all the logic required. The bill of goods they're trying to sell falls flat on it's face. Any argument that bases itself on an idea that the planet is a few thousand years old is going to be the final words I will hear them utter. |
