I was going to say spiders specifically but didn't want to trigger you.

Is it the ACLU? Is that the organization all you pinko types go whining to whenever someone makes you soil your tampon? I'm calling their asses on you!

I don't think you know how vaginas work

The Batlord 01-23-2015 12:20 PM

Sure I do. I stick my wang in, the woman attached to it cries, I go to sleep. Pretty straightforward.

TBH it's not and most of us in class said we don't have a problem with the idea of including them. The problem is how they are starting to hinder academia, and how you balance them. Oberlin was the first college to start doing it and according to them teachers were asked to take any possible triggers out of their lectures unless they were absolutely necessary to the lecture. Look at the list of trigger warnings and think about how useless a lot of subjects would be without them.

So you're teaching a class on english lit which includes Huck Finn and half the class is offended by "Nigger Jim", now they don't have to do the work, and yet they are getting credit for the course? The point of college is to challenge and educate you. If you can't handle the subject matter you're learning for your major maybe you shouldn't be in that field of study.

yea, like i said i was in a rush so i skimmed the article. didn't realize we were talking about censoring an actual class for PC's sake. that honestly makes me sick.

Trigger warning is bull****, these stupid ****s need to grow up and see the real world. Like a friend said to me today on Skype, do you think the people living under the threat of Isis every day need a "trigger warning"? Is that equatable to some fat feminist bitch who can't put the cake down?

Also what's with the dumbass swearword filters on here? Are people so soft they're too afraid to read the words "s h i t" and "f u c k" ? I mean, I came to this forum because there was a thread where the title distinctly said "is it gay to blow a transgender?", so I presume it's not a child-oriented forum

It's not family friendly. It's just owned by a company that I guess wants to maintain the illusion that it is.

Now there's a recipe for fruitful contribution.
