Great ending. Have watched it 3 times.

Do you really think that it's great in the context of the quality that the rest of the show set a standard for? It was solid and doesn't deserve the flak it gets, but I still get the idea that the general storyline for that was written hastily.

What would have been a better ending in your opinion? I can agree it seemed rushed, but I feel like it captured the idea that when youre in that deep it never ends well. Should Jesse have died too?

underwhelming? it was terrible lol

it was completely over the top and unrealistic in the way it tied up all the loose ends..

just to have a vaguely "feel good" ending? yet that goes against the entire message of the show... which is that "breaking bad" has serious consequences... undermined all that because hollywood demands a semi-happy ending.. bunch of bull**** really

the show's climax was the shootout where the cop died to me. after that it descended into a bit of nonsense

the sopranos... that's how you end a show properly.

I definitely agree on The Sopranos ending. They built White up as an anti-hero to the point where he becomes the villain, it would have been nice to frame him as an anti-hero in the end as they did throughout the show (even though a more discerning viewer could tell he's the villain).

I would have liked it if it ended with Walter walking into the sunset, disillusioned and in denial about what he's become. After the lens flare overcomes his silhouette, the camera pans down to see the weeds waving in the wind as the colour composition slowly transitions to black and white and stays on the weeds for ten minutes before the credits pop up.

I have no idea how they could make it better tbh, I'm not a screenwriter. I didn't think it was bad, I'd probably rate it a 6/10 as far as endings go, but given that a good deal of the show was more of a 9 or 10/10, it feels more like a 2/10 every time I watch it. I know that the writers can convey the concept that you mention through more interesting means.

his life and family should have been destroyed

that was the overarching message of the show

then they rescued them in the end via dues ex machina

bad play my friend

His life being destroyed is the message of the show, yet him dying was alien space bats? Interesting.

nah him dying isnt what im talking about

he should have either died or ended up in jail

but all the **** he brought down on his family was magically waved away with the wand of poorly written "twists." like him somehow going into the diner and putting ricin in the exact sugar packet that he knew would be used by that broad. how the ****? either he poisoned the entire diner or that **** was dumb to me.

and his family is safe financially cause he got some guys to point laser pointers.... with the assumption that after he's dead said rich people aren't going to just beef up security or go to the police...

and they dont have to worry about the gang that might have considered them witnesses in needing of a murder cause of his gun-car contraption... the entire ending was one big suspension of disbelief... it devolved into cartoon levels of unrealistic tbh

Now say two nice things about the Breaking Bad ending or else neither of you are going to get ice cream.
