Approximately 24,000 people die annually in Africa from rabies. Prevalence of rabies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

New virus in Africa looks like rabies, acts like Ebola

No matter what the figures are, it is a horrible way to suffer. And it seems those living in Africa have more than their fair share of things to worry about.

Both nurses who caught it from treating Mr. Duncan have beat it. And not a single person either one of them came in contact with has come down with the disease. Even Nurse Pham's dog tested negative.

So much of this for nothing here in the US.

Still a crazy bad situation in Africa. I'm hoping that they can discover a vaccine using the blood, enzymes, etc. from the people who have beaten down Ebola here in the US.

Apparently our scientists are working on one now. I hope they have it ready soon.

All of Western culture summed up in a meme.

I'm glad the nurse is better! Although she had a much better chance in a western hospital to survive than the clinics in West Africa. It makes me sad that people are being turned away as they are wheeled in on wheelbarrows.

Sorry for the cruelty, but I ****in hate that people are always jumping to 'help' third world countries. Let them develop on their ****in own and save that money for the space race. Honestly, that should be every civilized, intelligent society's main priority IMO. Better spaceships and better understanding of the cosmos. For the species.
David Hicks would say you should take all the money invested in all the militaries around the world, take that money, feed and clothe all the homeless people in the world with that money and resources, THEN we go to space.

I have to say, it's a whole hell of a ****ing lot better than your messed up bull**** I'll tell you that.

Sorry, that's just my honest opinion. If we can go to space, I'm sure we can help one of the most impoverished countries in the world adapt to the 21st century.
