Maybe those two cultures are the two he can relate to best.In which case it has nothing to do with skin color an everything to do with being comfortable and feeling accepted.And I suspect if he were in a situation. where he had to be with asians and hispanics for an exstended period he get used to it.

Oh I dunno if its true I just gave him the benefit of the doubt. Hes still got a chance to respond with something of equal or lesser value.
