Please sign this petition in support of Michael Brown
Michael Brown was an unarmed 18 year old African American male that was killed by a white police officer in St. Louis Missouri about 2 weeks ago. Since then his murdered as gone global and there have been a number of protests and petitions. The protests that have been demonstrated in St. Louis have been chaotic and abusive. The police department in St. Louis have been very disrespectful and abusive to the protesters. One protester was even shot and killed early this morning around 1 am.
These protesters 1st amendment rights were violated yesterday night. The state had lifted the curfew but the police still told the protesters to go home and reverted to throwing tear gasses at protesters and even CHILDREN! When is the hate going to stop? When are the killings going to stop? Why can't a black teen walk down to the street without getting killed by their own police? Why can't black people protest or express their 1st amendment rights? Please sign this petition to help get the Police Chief of Ferguson fired. https://www.change.org/p/missouri-go...thomas-jackson |

I've been following this story through NPR on the radio in the mornings... unbelievably heart-breaking stuff. The scariest part of all this is how seemingly commonplace it's becoming. Signed

Yes this is very scary I have been watching it for days and hours. This hurts my heart and I feel sick. I can't sleep at night because I am tired of my culture being under attack.
I am watching this on CNN right now and the police are brutally attacking the protesters!!! Please come out and support this community. All help is wanted. Thanks again!!! |

Yeah I went to a small one locally on what they called the day of rage. When people nationwide met up to protest/hold a silent vigil.

We had a sizeable protest around Van Ness and Market/downtown area today while I was at work. Heard some people talking on the train while omw home saying cop cars in Missouri aren't required to have dashboard cams- the kinda technology that's supposed to inhibit this kind of thing. Basically a webcam cept for your dashboard. First I ever heard of it, not sure which states or counties have it but apparently some are required to by law. But it's cases like these were something like that could really just solidify a case against someone. If I understand correctly, Michael and a friend were just jay-walking and got pulled over by the cop after he told them to get back on the side walk. After that he grabbed Michael by the shirt and tried to pull him in the car and then a shot went off, afterwards he ran, got shot in the back... turned around with hands up, 6 shots to the chest. Just... unbelievable. For jaywalking. Supposedly while Brown was held by the shirt against the window he punched the cop a couple times, fracturing his eye socket? It's scary how little information is going out. I feel like they're trying to cover something up. I mean, the kid was held from his shirt against the window of a car by a cop who eventually tried to shoot him... for jay walking. If that did actually happen, how the **** else should Brown have reacted??

there is a recent update saying that the cop's eye wasn't fractured. If it was that would be the kind of picture they would have been circulating to discredit Brown even more like they did with the release of that convience would store tape.
