I didn't know where else to post this but thought it would make for an interesting discussion. This song is highly controversial but I think most of the people who discuss things on this forum are mostly considerate of people with differing views and can discuss things without flaming one another:



I don't find myself disagreeing with the general message of the song but it's not something I say for the same reason I don't use other words. I try to be sensitive to people with different opinions/cultures even if I think they are wrong.

I think it's an interesting perspective, but probably too simplistic. I think to use a word that's been established as derogatory slang is disrespectful so I don't do it. Also, can't help it:

Yeh, I know it's a comedic act, but I totally agree with him about the news part. If your reporting an incident use the word, we are all adults. I don't like that kind of censorship.

The part about the coffee not so much. That kind of thinking has never crossed my mind.
