I Knew TSA Was Trouble When I Walked In
Basically I have been watching loads of videos about the TSA allegedly molesting people, stealing people stuff, forcing disabled children to be patted down. Oh and they keep and release scans of people's naked bodies.
This is mainly targeted at the American members. What is your opinion about the lengths the TSA go to in order to "protect" American citizens from terrorism? Are people being molested? Are the workers violating people's rights? They don't seem to be following the guidelines in many instances. There are loads of videos that show TSA employees stealing peoples laptops, ipads, etc. Here is some of the other ones I looked at: |
sensationalism. Retreads of the exact same story line reoccurring (multiple women sexually assaulted, disabled kids made to cry). Miss communication, poor judgement,it's inevitable. All these stories seem to appear around 2012.
Terrorist threat could possibly take the form of a disabled child, i guess. Better safe than sorry anyway **** |
I see eight videos. That's not even pocket change compared to the countless people who fly everyday, the vast, vast, vast majority of whom don't take any videos because their trip through security was probably completely uneventful. Just because it seems like a lot of individual cases these are still anecdotal evidence that are useless in any meaningful way without any kind of legitimate evidence to back them up. I haven't flown in years, so I really don't know if there's a problem, but Youtube is certainly not the place I'm going to go for research, or any other form of anecdotal evidence for that matter.
|
Yeah that's a very good point. YouTube can be quite biased and it's not really covering both sides of the story.
|
I'm not sure I buy a lot of the sensationalistic news, but the TSA people are by-and-large unprofessional assholes.
|
Personally, I've had pleasant experiences with the TSA while flying but then again I have the privilege of not being an American Muslim and "randomly" selected for those extra searches.
The only thing I don't get is why we still have to take off our shoes when they use the full body scans. Just hope you aren't sweating because you'll get patted down for that. |

Yeah, I had a few beads of sweat on my back that ended up making orange spots show up on the X-ray and that was the reason I got patted down.
It wasn't that bad though. |
They're there to protect us. Never forget that. Your government loves you and wants what's best for you. Your safety is their prime concern. And terrorists are a dangerous threat. Terrorists would see us all dead if they could. Because they hate our freedom.
Or maybe they hate us because our governments interfere with their countries by installing tinpot puppet dictators, by imposing sanctions, by giving them loans they know they can never repay, by marching in foreign armies, by employing any means possible to steal their natural wealth. Nah. It's cos they hate our freedom. |
They hate our freedom, way of life, indecencies and not all of that conspiracy mumbo jumbo.
