Real **** man, and she wasn't joking. Or maybe she suddenly got really good at keeping a straight face but I doubt it. She doesn't skype but I can give you her gilflover.com account name.

As a Christian, I am SO ****ing tired of morons saying this. No, you are not persecuted you idiot. What you are experiencing is called "not having everyone around you agree with your ludicrous and sometimes borderline insane beliefs." Move to Iran or North Korea and then we'll talk about the persecution you're facing, but until then, shut it.

Maybe not the to the extent Christians in Syria, or Egypt or the other places you mentioned. Where they are not just teased about their religious beliefs but are physically persecuted, or worse killed.

But yes there are Christians in the US who feel persecuted.

i think it's mostly just people being a little uneasy with modernity. they see the fact that religion is becoming a less dominant force in most of the metropolitan type areas and more of a cultural relic and that scares them cause the bible is full of stories about god getting pissed cause israel didn't worship him hard enough.

To be fair, I feel like at least some of the time persecuted means "Not everyone around me agrees with my point of view"

I wish I could do that...

It might be in public conscience because of media attention, but
to be fair persecution of Christians still exist in the world today.

I don't think could be said (for example) of Syria, where 2.14 million people were forced to flew for the most part due to persecution. It isn't people who "just love to cry victim." They are victims.
